ディス イズ ノット ア ブルー ボトル 1/.4 115mL ボトル

Davana and ylang-ylang carry a lunar intensity, and the fragrance lets that strength sink into the balmy depths of labdanum and opoponax. The aromatic composition is built from natural essences only, around the principle of Yin, night, and the moon.

The opening is green and dry: davana's bitter herb, lavender, and the cool bite of cardamom. Ylang-ylang follows with a dense floral weight, sweetened by tonka bean and benzoin rather than lifted into air. The sweetness has a resinous stickiness, closer to balm than sugar.

Beneath it, patchouli lays down a dry woody floor while labdanum and opoponax add leathery bitterness and balsamic warmth. Sweet and bitter, flower and resin, create a contrast whose texture suggests velvet rather than a bright flash of citrus.

Cool evenings and night hours seem a fitting setting for this exploration of Yin. Moving from bitter herbs to dense flowers and sweet balsamic resins offers a different kind of warmth from the brightness of a citrus scent.
