Outrecuidant

Grapefruit and pineapple open with a bright, almost insolent spark, then saffron and orange blossom answer back. Labdanum and leather thicken the woody base into a confident, unapologetic trail.

ウートルキュイダン 60mL ボトル

The name comes from an old French word for someone overconfident, even insolent. The official text stages the fragrance as a verbal duel between characters. Grapefruit and pineapple strike first, bright and almost fizzy, while cassis adds a dark tartness that keeps the fruit from turning sweet.

Saffron and cardamom fire back. Orange blossom cuts in at a high, proud pitch, so the flower arrives with dry spice rather than softness. This is the heart of the scent. The house calls leather and the saffron-orange blossom pairing its power players, and the pairing never backs off.

Below them, labdanum brings a resinous bitterness that meets dry cedar and sandalwood. Patchouli adds an earthy weight, and once leather arrives the base grows noticeably denser, pulling the brightness of the opening fruit down into a lower center of gravity.

It suits a cold day or an evening, worn with a leather jacket or something in a dark color. The contrast between tart fruit, warm spice and dark leather invites time and attention.
