The Voice of the Snake
Deeper oud, patchouli and saffron meet warmer cistus and smoother leather in a snake-inspired woody theme.
Perfumer: Alberto Morillas
The Voice of the Snake surrounds a deeper oud theme with leather, warmer resins and quieter spice. Created by Alberto Morillas and introduced in 2019, the eau de parfum belongs to Gucci’s Alchemist’s Garden collection. The mysterious, captivating character of a snake provides its central image, translated into a fuller woody scent. Patchouli and saffron broaden the oud with earthier texture and warmer spice. It suits someone who enjoys more settled wood and leather impressions alongside a gentler resinous warmth.
Oud wood accord provides the central impression of richer, deeper woods. Patchouli adds a drier earthy character around it, while saffron contributes warmer spicy detail. Cistus absolute, named among the main ingredients, brings softer resinous warmth. Leather accord adds smoother, more shaded texture beside the woods. Those materials build a quieter relationship between wood, earth, spice, resins and leather, allowing drier outlines to meet warmer depth within a more concentrated woody impression.
Try it for a quieter evening gathering or a day in a substantial jacket. Black clothing or smoother leather accessories can meet the wood and leather theme. The selected 100mL bottle has rounded shoulders and glossy black glass beneath a gold-toned stopper. A sinuous, coiled snake appears in gold above the name, framed by fine leaves and a ribbon. Its antique apothecary-inspired form brings the animal theme into a darker setting, echoing the deeper woods and more restrained spicy detail of the fragrance.
