A Gloaming Night
Warmer cinnamon meets drier vetiver and patchouli, expressing the fleeting interval between sunset and evening.
Perfumer: Alberto Morillas
A Gloaming Night translates the fleeting interval between dusk and evening into warmer woods and spice. Created by Alberto Morillas and introduced in 2021, the eau de parfum belongs to Gucci’s Alchemist’s Garden collection. Its inspiration follows sunset colours as pink, purple, peach and red give way to darker shades on the horizon. Cinnamon brings warmer spice, while vetiver and patchouli add drier depth around it. It suits someone who enjoys a gentler spicy warmth with quieter wood and earth-like detail.
Cinnamon provides a warmer theme with a suggestion of sweetness. Vetiver adds a drier, root-like woody impression around that softer spice. Patchouli contributes a deeper, more earthy wooden character. The notes meet like different sunset colours blending together, giving the warmer spice a more shaded setting. Vetiver and patchouli bring a quieter depth around cinnamon, allowing its comforting character to meet drier outlines and more grounded texture within the same composition.
Try it after an evening walk or for time spent in a warmly lit room. Deep red knitwear or an accessory with a wooden texture can meet the cinnamon and woods. The selected 100mL bottle has transparent ruby-red glass beneath a gold-toned stopper. A hand holding a key appears above the name, surrounded by fine golden leaves and a ribbon. Its antique apothecary-inspired shape carries the red of a late sunset, while the darker glass base gives that warmer colour a quieter shadow.
