Leather Oud
Bergamot and new leather lead to oud, geranium, vetiver and the warmer depth of woody amber.
Leather Oud remembers fragrance oils arriving at Floris in small leather cases. Opening them brought the scent of new leather together with the essences inside, an impression recreated through richer oud. The perfumery team developed it alongside Honey Oud, introducing the pair in 2014.
Brighter bergamot meets the outline of leather. Carnation, geranium, oud and patchouli form the heart, connecting flowers and aromatic freshness with deeper wood. Oud continues into the base alongside vetiver and woody amber, gaining drier root-like character and warmer woody thickness.
Consider it for a winter outing or to bring leather and wood into more formal evening clothing. The Japanese house also suggests winter wear. The illustrated 100mL Eau de Parfum has rectangular clear glass, a gold cap, a reddish-purple label, amber-coloured liquid and a thick transparent base.
