Caspian Cherry
Black cherry and amaretto meet dark and white chocolate, coffee and warmer woods in a bittersweet interpretation of Roman feasting.
Perfumer: Kévin Mathys
Caspian Cherry imagines the honeyed cakes and fruit tarts of a lavish Roman feast through a contemporary gourmand composition. Created by Kévin Mathys and introduced in 2024, it centres on a darker, riper cherry. The perfumer sought a balance of sweetness, tartness and bitterness, approaching the fruit with the restraint of a carefully composed dessert.
Amaretto, black cherry and dark chocolate introduce cinnamon, vetiver, honey, coconut and coffee. Nutty liqueur-like sweetness meets warmer spice and roasted accents. Patchouli, sandalwood, white chocolate and tonka bean form a creamier woody base, extending the cherry while retaining a more bittersweet edge.
Mathys suggests an autumn evening when warmth and comfort appeal. The 100mL bottle combines orange-coloured glass with a rose-gold-coloured cap and shoulders. Interlacing lines surround its matching circular medallion, which bears the eagle and fragrance name above a thick coloured glass base.
