Velvet Amber Sun
A golden amber composition where vanilla and labdanum melt into smoky spices, sandalwood and resins, Velvet Amber Sun wears as a warm, sun-soaked veil of ambered woods with gentle sweetness and a soft, lingering trail.
Scent Development and Character
Velvet Amber Sun opens with a dense, almost syrupy blend of vanilla and labdanum brightened by a flicker of citrus and the creamy floral lift of ylang-ylang, immediately setting a golden, resinous tone. As it develops, a soft smoke accord and warm spices wrap around sandalwood, turning the composition into a billowing cloud of balsamic woods, more smoldering than fiery. In the drydown, amberwood, benzoin, myrrh, and other resins fuse with oud, patchouli, cinnamon, and tonka bean to create a long-lasting, velvety amber trail that feels sun-warmed, slightly sweet, and cocooning rather than heavy or tarry.
Who It Is For and When to Wear It
With its resinous vanilla–amber core, soft smoke and warm woods, Velvet Amber Sun is best suited to cooler weather, evenings, and intimate settings where its sweetness and depth can unfold without becoming cloying. It works as a refined unisex signature for those who enjoy enveloping amber scents, pairing well with knitwear and tailored layers, and has enough presence for formal occasions while remaining plush and comforting for relaxed wear. Best suited to autumn and winter, when its warm amber, smoke and resins feel plush rather than heavy; it can also work on cooler spring evenings but is generally too dense for hot summer days. Sillage is Noticeable to strong sillage: the fragrance radiates in a rounded aura for the first few hours before settling closer to the skin, leaving a distinct but not overpowering amber trail. Longevity is Strongly long-lasting: on most skins Velvet Amber Sun tends to project clearly for several hours and remain detectable for 10–12 hours or more, with the resinous amber base lingering on fabric into the next day. These are editorial estimates derived from the official composition and concentration and will vary with skin and climate.
