Malt

Malt began with the whisky aromas Anaïs Cresp encountered while working in London pubs and bars. The smoky suggestion of a drink poured over ice, and the point when an evening moves from beer to spirits, provide its setting. The French story also evokes the comfort of a leather armchair.

Whisky forms the opening, seaweed the heart, and leather with patchouli the base. Warm, sweet liquor meets a greener saline impression, with leather giving it a quieter, darker texture. This is a drink-inspired fragrance with woody shade and a coastal dimension, rather than a cocktail built mainly around bright fruit.

Try it for an evening of reading or an outing with a leather accessory. Someone drawn to the complexity of seaweed and patchouli as well as the warmth of spirits may enjoy exploring it. Olivier Cresp created the original eau de parfum in 2018. The illustrated 100mL bottle has rounded transparent shoulders and a black cylindrical cap.
