Serge de Oliveira ties Glam Flower to his first years as a perfumer, a period he says left him freer, bolder and surer of himself. To carry that boldness he turned to a chypre accord, the structure he chose to give a fragrance real character.
Orange and bergamot open it brightly. In the heart, lily of the valley and rose arrive alongside cedar and patchouli, so the flowers are shaded early by dry wood and earth instead of turning simply sweet.
Musk, vetiver, amber and vanilla make up the base. The vetiver keeps a slightly bitter edge while amber and vanilla settle warmly close to the skin. It is filed as a floral, but the chypre frame is what gives it its assurance.
