About Lucien Ferrero

Lucien Ferrero is a French perfumer from Provence whose signed formulas date back to the 1960s. His long career joins classical training, work in Grasse, and later collaborations with independent fragrance houses. Laboratorio Olfattivo’s Masters’ Collection and his namesake Anthologie project both present his approach to natural materials and olfactory memory.

Career

Ferrero trained in Geneva and Paris before returning to Grasse to join Expressions Parfumées. Over the following decades he created for several houses, including Lubin, Laboratorio Olfattivo, and Maison Tahité. His work for Laboratorio Olfattivo includes Tantrico and Vetyverso, while his later personal project gathered fragrances under the Anthologie by Lucien Ferrero name. This trajectory spans established commercial practice and authored niche perfumery.

Creative Style & Philosophy

A passion for natural scents and rare ingredients guides Ferrero’s work. Profiles describe compositions born from emotion and olfactory memory rather than from note lists alone. Woods, aromatic herbs, citrus, musks, and balsamic materials are often arranged to balance restraint with sensuality. His exploration of sandalwood for Tantrico, vetiver for Vetyverso, and vanilla for Maison Tahité shows a method that studies a familiar material through texture, atmosphere, and lasting presence on skin.
