Bois De Zanzibar
Inspired by monsoon rain among Zanzibar’s spice trees, it places citrus and ginger over clove, vetiver, and powerful amber woods.
Perfumer: Lucien Ferrero
Bois de Zanzibar
Lucien Ferrero recalled sitting beneath large clove and cinnamon trees in Zanzibar as monsoon rain touched his face. The fragrance translates that damp air, precious woods, and abundance of spices into an eau de parfum introduced in 2025.
Coriander, pink pepper, ginger, and grapefruit make a lively opening, combining green spice with citrus. Nutmeg, cedarwood, teak, and rosewood give the heart a layered woody texture. Clove and vetiver deepen the base with warm pungency and earthy shadows, while Ambrocenide brings substantial amber-wood character.
The clear 100 mL bottle has a white label and black cap. Its composition suggests a cool evening when the outline of woods and spices can unfold, or a day that calls for more depth than citrus freshness alone.
