Sublime Balkiss

A modern chypre floral that marries cool violet leaves and tart dark berries to a translucent bouquet of rose, lilac and lily of the valley, drying down to an airy patchouli-and-cocoa base with heathered, mineral depth. Elegant yet quietly sensual, it feels like damp moorland air on skin.

Scent Development and Character

Sublime Balkiss opens with a vivid rush of violet-tinted green and luminous bergamot wrapped around a dark, tart mix of blackberry, blueberry and blackcurrant, giving the impression of cool, rain-washed berries against damp foliage. As it settles, a delicate yet persistent floral haze of rose, lilac and lily of the valley rises through the fruit, softening the edges and lending a transparent, slightly nostalgic bloom that never becomes powdery or heavy. The drydown is built on a double dose of patchouli edged with heather and fine cocoa powder, creating an earthy, mineral and faintly chocolaty chypre-style base that feels more mossy and woody than sweet, with an airy texture that keeps the composition light even as it gains depth.

Who It Is For and When to Wear It

The airy chypre structure and restrained sweetness make Sublime Balkiss well suited to daytime wear in cooler spring and autumn weather, and it can transition seamlessly into understated evening use; on very warm days the patchouli base may become more pronounced, so lighter application is advisable. Its polished yet discreet character works in professional settings and intimate, contemplative moments rather than loud, party environments. Best suited to the transitional light of spring and autumn, where its cool berries, soft florals and earthy patchouli feel most balanced; in mild winters it can offer a contemplative, airy chypre presence, while in hot summers it risks becoming slightly heavy in the base unless applied lightly. Sillage is Sillage is generally soft to moderate, forming a close, transparent aura rather than a strong trail, and becoming quite intimate after the initial berry and floral lift subsides. Longevity is Longevity appears to be moderate to slightly below average for an eau de parfum, with several wearers reporting a soft presence after a few hours rather than a full day; on skin it is likely to sit around 4–6 hours before becoming very close.
