Scent Development and Character
An intense **peppery rose** that opens with a dry burst of pepper, pink berries and coriander, immediately wrapping the nose in a hot, almost prickly spice cloud over dewy rose petals. As it settles, the dual character of damask and May rose unfolds from faceted, citrus-tinged brightness to dense, jammy petals, threaded with a slightly herbal nuance from the spices. In the drydown, earthy vetiver and a boldly animalic civet accord fuse with the rose, creating a leathery, almost feral warmth that pulls the composition toward skin, turning the pristine floral into something intimate, lived‑in and faintly dangerous.
Who It Is For and When to Wear It
Best suited to cool to mild weather and low‑key to intimate settings, this is an assertive yet close‑wearing spicy rose that reads more as a personal signature than a crowd‑pleaser. Its animalic drydown can feel challenging in very formal or office environments; it works particularly well for contemplative evenings, art events and occasions where a distinctive, slightly provocative floral is appropriate. Especially suited to **autumn and spring**, with careful use in cooler summer evenings and mild winter days. Sillage is Soft to moderate. The scent projects noticeably in the first hour with a peppery rose aura, then settles quickly into a close, intimate radius that stays mostly within arm’s length or closer. Longevity is Moderate to moderately long. The bright peppery opening softens after 1–2 hours, while the rose, vetiver and civet accord lingers as a close skin scent for roughly 6–8 hours on most skins.
