MALAMATA
A green floral inspired by the much-maligned nettle, where mint and leaves prick at rose and lily of the valley.
Perfumer: Dominique Ropion
The sting of nettles and the impulse to jump straight into a thicket of green inspired Malamata. Dominique Ropion brings the beauty of flowers together with the vividness of leaves.
Peppermint and violet leaf establish a cool, sappy character. Rose, lily of the valley and sage follow, placing a dry herbal edge beside the softer flowers: an impression of stems and leaves gathered into the bouquet.
Patchouli and amber give the sharp greenery a warmer, steadier foundation. The result is a green floral that makes room for the smell of the whole plant.
