Couleur Vendôme is the work of master perfumer Dominique Ropion. Roos & Roos describes it as an immersion in a rose seen under magnification, capturing every tone it passes through until its petals wilt.
Cardamom, pink pepper and cinnamon open. The heart holds Damask rose absolute and orange blossom, the Mediterranean bud prized by the Princess of Nerola in the seventeenth century, which Ropion uses to polish the rose into a modern olfactory alchemy.
Italy surfaces in stopovers woven through the composition: Florentine iris, spices that wander Venice and its shops, then patchouli and labdanum. Running through it all is a rosy red light that the brand sees bathing legendary places, from Place Vendôme to Piazza della Scala.
