BEL ABSINTHE begins in a botanical garden. Its starting point is the distinctive vegetal smell of wormwood's silvery leaves, set in the garden's bucolic mood. Nicolas Bonneville composed it.
The description opens with the line 'a very vegetal absinthe.' Wormwood essence and chamomile lead together, vegetal with aromatic accents.
Sandalwood and musks make up the heart. The description names Dreamwood, a sandalwood-like woody captive, wrapped in the white musks Helvetolide and Muscenone to give a velvety softness. Indonesian patchouli and ambery woods form the base, with Cetalox, an ambery wood material, used in overdose to amplify the trail. From leaf to soft heart to woody depth, the composition stays rooted in the garden's plants.
