Brutal looks towards the bold perfumes of the 1970s and 1980s and the contrasts of Brutalist architecture. Austere exteriors meet the warmth of glass, metal and wood within. Amber-toned light, printed magazines, freshly ground coffee and tobacco give its imagined interior a more intimate atmosphere.
Orange blossom, a Negroni accord and black coffee form the opening, pairing floral sweetness with bitter drinks. Tuberose, ylang-ylang and May rose expand the heart’s richer floral character. Tobacco Bourbon de Laire, amber and sandalwood provide the base, surrounding the flowers with warmer, drier shade.
Consider it for an evening after dinner or when white flowers should also carry coffee and tobacco. Théo Belmas created this eau de parfum, introduced in March 2025. The illustrated 50mL bottle combines clear glass, pale yellow-green liquid and a wooden cap.
