Autoportrait

A self-portrait may be the answer to an equation whose single unknown is the self. Autoportrait begins from that line. Composed by Nathalie Lorson, this eau de parfum was conceived as a scent worn for yourself rather than for anyone else. To see one's reflection is to experience inner harmony, and within that self to perceive the beauty of the world; the words around it treat the fragrance almost as a mirror.

At its core is wood and resin, the soul of woody notes laid bare. The soft sweetness of Siam benzoin and a dry thread of incense smoke sit at the centre, while oakmoss, cedarwood and vetiver beneath them form a shade that is both damp and dry. The bergamot and elemi of the opening remain a brief brightness before you step further in.
