Malfa Walls
A smoky-woody leather incense built around Sicilian citrus and blackcurrant liquor, Malfa Walls moves from sparkling mandarin, orange and thyme into a meditative incense–sage heart before sinking into a dark, tarry leather, oud and cade drydown that feels like sunlit Mediterranean stone meeting charred wood.
Scent Development and Character
Malfa Walls opens with a vivid blast of Sicilian citrus and herbal blackcurrant liquor, where mandarin and orange sparkle over aromatic thyme and tart fruit, immediately evoking sunlit Mediterranean air and the first step into a cool stone nave. As it settles, luminous incense and sage rise from the heart, wrapping the citrus in a meditative, resinous haze that suggests candle smoke drifting against old wooden panelling. The drydown grows markedly darker and more textured, as supple leather, smoky cade and oud build a tarry, mineral-woody accord that feels like weathered church doors and charred timber meeting sea spray, balancing mystery and refinement in a smoky-woody, leather-incense signature.
Who It Is For and When to Wear It
On skin, Malfa Walls is striking yet measured: the citrus–blackcurrant opening is bright and energetic but quickly intertwined with aromatic thyme, giving a slightly bitter, herbal edge that keeps sweetness in check. The incense–sage heart reads as calm and contemplative rather than heavy, making the smoky-woody theme feel airy enough for daytime wear while still suggestive of quiet chapels and dark wood. As leather, cade and oud take over, the scent becomes more intimate, resinous and slightly tarry, with a mineral-woody feel that suits cool evenings, stone streets and tailored jackets; it wears as a unisex, mysterious but refined Eau de Parfum that stays distinctive without shouting, ideal for contemplative walks, gallery visits or understated night outings. The bright Sicilian citrus opening makes Malfa Walls viable in spring and even Mediterranean-style summer, but its smoky incense, leather and oud-cade base lean more naturally toward autumn and winter, where the contrast between cool air and warm woods feels most at home. Sillage: The smoky-woody leather accord and bright citrus opening likely project with a noticeable but controlled aura, creating a moderate trail that is present in close to medium range without filling large spaces. Longevity: Given its resinous incense, leather, oud and cade base over a standard Eau de Parfum concentration, Malfa Walls is expected to offer moderately strong longevity, often lasting most of the day on skin without becoming overpowering.
