Black Aoud is one of the fragrances Montale presents as emblematic of the house. Cambodian oud meets Indonesian patchouli, surrounded by musk, mandarin and rose in a sensory journey between East and West.
Lemon and mandarin add brighter light to oud and saffron at the opening. Rose and patchouli contrast fuller flowers with earthy, woody shading in the heart. Leather, guaiacwood, sandalwood and white musk support that contrast through deeper wood and softer texture.
The black 50mL aluminium bottle has a gold spray and charm. It invites rose to be experienced through its relationship with darker wood and leather.
