Bakhoor
An Arabian smoke tradition inspires woods and oud, moving from leather and saffron to cedar, vetiver and sandalwood.
Perfumer: Pierre Montale
Bakhoor draws on what Montale describes as the sacred smoke heritage of Arabia’s nomadic tribes. Resins, sandalwood and precious woods create the scene of a wilder, more mysterious journey.
Oud, saffron and leather introduce deeper wood, warmer spice and leathery depth. Cedarwood, vetiver and sandalwood form a heart combining drier woods, roots and smoother woody texture. Ambergris, white musk and guaiacwood support the foundation through quieter shading, softer skin-like impressions and calmer wood.
The 100mL aluminium bottle carries a clip and charm. Pierre Montale invites attention to different woody depths beside leather and spice.
