Perfect Oud Extrait de Parfum

Perfect Oud Extrait de Parfum is a new reading of the earlier Perfect Oud and keeps its central image: a remarkable wood smouldering slowly over embers. This time Alberto Morillas moves in closer, as if magnifying the material, to examine the richness and strength at the core of the wood.
Alaska cedar leads, with a mineral hardness and a dense, leather-like texture. Around it the formula sets two opposites: bergamot and cardamom at the top give the wood a lively brightness, while rum absolute in the heart adds a deep, almost liqueur-like sweetness. Rose oxide, also in the heart, traces a floral outline over the heavy wood.
The base pairs smoked incense with an infusion of vanilla. Mizensir says the contrast between the two extremes is sharpened here, and the floral amber accent that softens the edges is stronger. The family is woody leathery. It suits a day when you want mineral cedar at the centre, wrapped in smoke and vanilla sweetness.
