Miutine

Miutine borrows the frame of the chypre, one of the classic families of women's perfumery, and then plays a trick on it. The traditional skeleton stays intact: bright citrus, a floral heart, and a deep base of oakmoss and patchouli. On top of it lands a bold pairing of wild strawberry and brown sugar accords.

The wild strawberry suggests a small berry with a tart edge, and brown sugar answers it with a dense, cooked sweetness that turns the fruit intimate and warm.

Gardenia gives the space between fruit and sugar a fuller floral body, while vanilla and patchouli oil receive everything at the base. Because a shadow of moss and earth stays beneath the sweetness, the gourmand side never loses its grown-up outline.
