Black Currant
French blackcurrant meets rose oxide, leather, patchouli and Bangladeshi oud in this Harrods exclusive.
Perfumer: Aurélien Guichard
For Black Currant, Guichard sees cassis as a connection between French and British tastes. The Harrods-exclusive composition explores the darker, deeper and more contemporary facets of the fruit. A concentrated crème de cassis impression becomes part of that olfactory idea.
French blackcurrant absolute forms the top note. Indonesian patchouli, rose oxide and a leather accord make up the heart, with Bangladeshi Oud Assam oil at the base. Brighter fruit is placed around floral and leathery textures before connecting with deeper wood and a warmer trail.
Consider it for a quieter evening or when fruit should also have the depth of leather and wood. Created by Guichard and introduced in 2026, this extrait de parfum is illustrated in its 100mL presentation. Amber glass, a black cap and a dark label with silver-toned lettering form the bottle offered through Harrods.
