Ortie Blanche
Brighter bergamot meets green white nettle flowers, wild rose and bramble, over a naturally grassy base.
Perfumer: Nadège Le Garlantezec, Shyamala Maisondieu
Ortie Blanche brings together greener meadows and the lively flowers growing among them. Introduced as Herbae in 2019, this eau de parfum carries the fragrance into a new name and bottle. Nadège Le Garlantezec and Shyamala Maisondieu explore the strength of less cultivated Provençal vegetation. For Maisondieu, the greenery also recalls the tropical forests where she grew up. That personal association connects the southern French landscape with a wider experience of nature, allowing grasses and flowers to express a relationship that reaches beyond one place.
Bergamot opens the composition with brighter citrus, before white nettle gives the heart greener leaves, lighter flowers and a more incisive edge. A pricklier bramble impression and softer wild rose also mingle with the herbs. Natural sweet vernal grass extract helps support the grassy base. The combination suggests stems, leaves and smaller flowers growing together, with less emphasis on a sweeter, fuller bouquet. It suits someone who enjoys a fresh citrus opening with the more freely growing character of plants beneath it.
Try it during a morning walk or while getting ready beside an open window. Lighter cotton or linen gives the greener flowers an informal setting. The selected 50mL bottle has tall clear glass with rounded shoulders and a black cylindrical cap. A ringed black neck and a pale label with a rounded lower edge give the freer botanical theme a concise shape. Paler green liquid, a thicker transparent base and the longer curved tube inside remain visible through the glass.
