About Nadège Le Garlantezec
Nadège Le Garlantezec is a French Givaudan perfumer who locates perfumery at the boundary between creativity and science. An intuitive starting point is refined through material function and formula balance into a form that can be worn repeatedly.
Career
After studying science at university, she specialized in fragrance and raw materials at ISIPCA and joined Givaudan. Training under perfumers including Antoine Maisondieu was followed by an international young-perfumer award in 2006. She became a junior perfumer in 2010 and has since worked on international fine-fragrance creation.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Creative freedom is retained while the role of each material is examined technically and organized into a relatively concise formula. Rather than signal richness by adding elements, she keeps the central movement of florals, amber, or musk readable through the drydown. Technique does not replace emotion; it supplies the structure through which emotion can arrive consistently.
Signature Works
- *Paradoxe Eau de Parfum* — White florals, bright fruit, and amber composed in collaboration around the contrast between lightness and persistence.
