Tonka

Tonka takes the almond-like and vanilla-like warmth of the tonka bean as a starting point for a more intimate, enveloping fragrance. Spice and rose give that sweetness different facets, while woods and resins provide depth. Introduced in 2024, the parfum was also presented by the Japanese brand as one of the Signature works personally composed by Jean-Claude Ellena.

Sweet orange meets cardamom and an almond accord at the opening. Rose and patchouli link this brighter impression to a base of benzoin, vanilla and tonka. The more grounded character of patchouli gives definition to the softer, sweeter materials, creating a spicy gourmand amber rather than a single confectionery note.

Consider it for an afternoon with a warm drink, or an unhurried evening. It offers a direction when you want sweetness together with woody and resinous depth. A gold-coloured Tonka label appears on the black rectangular 100mL bottle beneath its broad cap.
