Aqua Majestae
Acacia, identified by the house as winter mimosa, meets lemon, osmanthus and cedar in a fruity floral portrait of a sunlit garden.
Perfumer: Thomas Fontaine
Aqua Majestae imagines a garden of osmanthus as sunlight brings out the flowers and their softer fragrance. Introduced in 2019 and composed by Thomas Fontaine, this eau de toilette approaches that setting through lemon, acacia and a quieter woody base. The floral subject combines a brighter entrance with a warmer texture, leaving room for the fruit-like qualities of the flowers to develop.
The opening acacia bouquet meets fresh lemon before osmanthus forms the heart. The house identifies the acacia as Acacia dealbata, or winter mimosa, giving a precise identity to the material behind that softer floral impression. Osmanthus adds an apricot-and-peach-like texture, while cedarwood provides a warmer outline beneath the flowers. Those fruit associations describe the character of osmanthus rather than announce separate fruit ingredients.
Consider it for a walk on a bright day or when you want osmanthus alongside a lighter citrus impression. The tall 100mL presentation combines clear cylindrical glass with a black cap. Pale golden liquid remains visible around the white front label, which carries the botanical motif and Aqua Majestae name above a thick transparent glass base.
