Hypnôse Eau de Parfum
Radiant passion flower winds around creamy vanilla and the warmer wooden depth of vetiver, echoed in a slender, twisting bottle.
Perfumer: Annick Menardo, Thierry Wasser
Hypnôse Eau de Parfum brings bright flowers, softer vanilla and warmer wood together in a helix-like composition. Introduced in 2005, it was created by Annick Menardo and Thierry Wasser. The idea of attraction connects the radiant impression of passion flower with creamy sweetness close to the skin. The slender glass bottle, rising through a twist, carries the same image of notes winding around one another.
Passion flower gives the top a brighter floral impression. Vanilla at the heart turns its sweetness towards a softer, creamy texture. Vetiver provides a warmer wooden framework with drier depth at the base, supporting the flowers and vanilla. Rather than keeping floral lightness and sweetness apart, the composition lets them relate within that woody structure.
Consider it when you want brighter flowers and calmer wood alongside sweet vanilla, perhaps for a cooler outing or a relaxed evening. The 75mL bottle takes inspiration from a Japanese woman draped in a kimono, with curves and facets that catch the light. Pale amethyst-like colour and a clear cap emphasise the twisting glass. Its design reinterprets the bottle of Lancôme’s 1950 fragrance Magie in a feminine, contemporary form.
