Rosamunda

Overview

Rosamunda is an Eau de Parfum introduced by Laboratorio Olfattivo in 2012 and composed by Marie Duchêne. Its official pyramid opens with saffron and rose leaf, moves into Bulgarian rose essence, Turkish rose absolute, and patchouli, and settles into oud, cedar, sandalwood, amber, and animalic musk.

Scent Impression

The opening combines the green sharpness of rose leaf with the dry golden light of saffron. In the heart, two rose materials give the fragrance its floral body while patchouli adds earth, humidity, and shadow. The base brings oud, cedar, and sandalwood into focus, softened by amber and musk. It belongs to the rose-oud family, but it remains relatively airy and wearable rather than heavy.

When to Wear

Rosamunda suits autumn days and evenings, dinners, offices, romantic settings, and quiet nights alone. It is not a room-filling powerhouse; it works best at a refined medium-to-close distance. Because saffron and patchouli can feel sharp on some skin, a light first application is recommended.
