Metal Chypré
A copper-inspired contrast joins bergamot and pink pepper with patchouli’s drier earthy depth.
Perfumer: Romano Ricci
Metal Chypré began with curiosity about the aroma associated with copper, an ancient metal. That unexpected idea translates a cooler metallic impression into fragrance. Brighter bergamot and more defined pink pepper meet patchouli’s earthier depth, joining a sharper outline with warmer botanical texture.
Bergamot creates the brighter citrus opening. Pink pepper follows in the heart, lending a lighter spicy character. Patchouli forms the base, extending towards drier earth-like and woody depth. Fresh peel, spice and quieter botanical thickness provide the structure around the metallic inspiration.
Consider it with a neat jacket when a less expected detail should add character, or to explore patchouli through citrus and spice. Romano Ricci created this eau de parfum, introduced in 2017. The illustrated 75mL bottle places a copper-coloured inner surface within thick clear rectangular glass, paired with a copper-coloured cap and lettering.
