Stilettos on Lex
The trail left by a stranger on Lexington Avenue: a chypre-fruity-floral centred on heliotrope, crowned with powdery iris and carnation.
Perfumer: Dorothée Piot
Stilettos on Lex follows a woman the narrator glimpses on Lexington Avenue in New York. The clacking of high heels behind them signals that she is back. Turning, the narrator sees her tall figure moving with a determined stride as the crowd steps aside. She vanishes quickly but leaves a fragrance, discreet yet impossible to ignore, that floats like the memory of a Lost Paradise. The narrator hopes to cross her path again on the same avenue.
The perfume portrays that trail. The brand describes a sparkling fruity-gourmand opening, with pear and plum liquor among its notes, leading into an opulent bouquet. Heliotrope's softness sits at its centre, and iris and carnation crown it with a powdery, sensual touch.
The accord is classed as chypre, fruity and floral, and a blend of musk and precious woods reinforces the whole. The perfumer is Dorothee Piot.
