Néa was born as an homage to the golden age of Byzantium, an era of renewal when the empire stood at the height of its grandeur as an economic, cultural and religious centre, impressing the world with its wealth, its arts and its quality of life. The brand gathers all of this into one phrase, douceur de vivre, the sweetness of living.
The scent unfolds in two places. First come the gardens around the palace, where dried fruit, spices, palm leaves, jasmine and rose sketch their splendour with simple but refined strokes. Then the doors open onto the heart of the palace, where time flows slowly: tonka bean, Madagascar vanilla and caramel melt into enveloping benzoin and seductive Cashmeran, while patchouli, Ambroxan and musk hold the floor beneath, an invitation to complete well-being.
Luca Maffei composed this floral gourmand, setting a gourmand accord at its centre and threading through it rich yet refined oriental influences.
