BELLA DONNA
Inspired by Leonardo's "La Belle Ferronnière": a cool composure hiding passion, rendered through the "Magnolia Magnifica" accord and a warm resinous base.

Bella Donna starts from Leonardo da Vinci's portrait "La Belle Ferronnière", which the house calls one of the world's most intriguing feminine portraits; the sitter's identity remains wrapped in mystery. The theme is the contrast between her rigid, almost severe and cold bearing and the passion, warmth and extreme tenderness hidden behind a gaze charged with contained emotions.
At the centre is the accord the house names "Magnolia Magnifica": the purity of magnolia alba flower wrapped in a carnal, enveloping blend of centifolia rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang and orris butter. After a bright opening of bergamot, fresh ginger and a mulberry accord, a sensual base of saffron, benzoin, labdanum and musk lets warmth show through the flower's cool poise.
