Amour de Palazzo
An homage to the great hours of Venice, La Serenissima: dawn after a masked ball, told through four spices, polished wood and leather, amber and oud.
Perfumer: Dorothée Piot
Amour de Palazzo is Jul et Mad's homage to the great hours of Venice, La Serenissima. Its story unfolds at dawn after a masked ball. Leaving the palazzo, two lovers wander hand in hand through lanes and canals, where the rich, heavy scent of precious wooden furniture and leather-upholstered chairs, polished by centuries, mingles with soft garden scents, the damp of old stone and the sharp smell of the lagoon.
The opening itself is a tribute: a bouquet of four spices, pepper, clove, ginger and nutmeg, honours the city's golden age and announces the richness of leather and precious woods to come. In the heart, violet absolute melts into wood and leather, before an amber-oud accord emerges, carried by animalic notes. Dorothee Piot composed it.
