Ligno
A patchouli-centered woody scent edged with Calabrian bergamot, sage and saffron.
Perfumer: Vanina Muracciole
Ligno takes its name from the Esperanto word for “woody” and puts patchouli at the center of a dense, modern composition. Calabrian bergamot lends a bright edge, while saffron brings dry warmth and sage a green, herbal cut. Cistus and fir balsam deepen the resinous impression; rose adds a restrained floral note. Ambergris sits at the heart of Vanina Muracciole’s composition, with the house’s enigmatic musk base giving it a rounded, spacious feel. Tonka bean softens the meeting of patchouli and amber without making the scent overtly sweet. Earthy depth remains in balance with a glint of citrus and herbs. It suits a day when quiet, textured clothing could use a little aromatic bite.
