Château de Velours translates the ruby colour of Pinot Noir in a glass and the caress of velvet into scent. Created by Camille Chemardin, it uses wine as both a visual subject and a reference for texture. Red fruit introduces its brighter side.
Blackcurrant, raspberry and wild strawberry meet davana and chocolate. Pinot Noir grape, red wine and honey impressions give the centre a rounder richness. The vivid fruit character develops into a softer texture, much as the expression of wine changes as the glass is moved.
Oakmoss and patchouli provide a cellar-like depth beneath the sweeter elements. Velvet describes the smooth tactile impression of the aromatic combination. Red fruit and the quieter shades of wood and moss remain in contact, allowing brightness and depth to contribute to the same softer finish.
