This is not a blue bottle 1/.8
A Histoires de Parfums scent introduced through Freedom, Confidence and the Unknown instead of notes, with aldehydic, citrusy brightness softened by gourmand sweetness.
Perfumer: Gérald Ghislain, Quentin Roussel
*Sold Out!* is number 1/.8 in Histoires de Parfums' This Is Not a Blue Bottle collection. It comes without a list of fragrance notes or an olfactory pyramid. In their place, the house names three states: Freedom, Confidence and the Unknown. These words describe what the wearer might feel, not stages in how the scent unfolds on skin.
Founder Gérald Ghislain says he wanted to move beyond the traditional vocabulary of perfumery. He describes it as a way for the wearer to feel like their best self, rather than a likeness of a particular flower or spice. The composition is credited to Ghislain together with perfumer Quentin Roussel.
The broad direction is aldehydic and citrusy with a gourmand softness: a bright, airy lift and the snap of citrus, rounded by gentle sweetness. The materials behind that effect are deliberately left unnamed, so the fragrance asks to be taken in as a whole before anyone tries to take it apart.
The bottle is the collection's familiar 115 mL blue flacon, finished with a red SOLD OUT ribbon. In April 2026 the house introduced the fragrance at an intimate dinner in New York, where guests were invited to interpret the scent rather than decode it.
