Christos
A woody amber of incense, resins and shadowed rose over a deep, sweet amber base.
Perfumer: Silvia Martinelli
Christos was conceived as a scent that ignores trends and keeps time with an inner rhythm. The brand places it in the woody amber family, building a deep amber structure layered with resin and wood. It opens with the dry warmth of Amberxtreme, an amber-toned aroma material, crossed by incense smoke and a thread of bergamot, so the first impression is definition rather than sparkle. In the heart, rose stays restrained, wrapped in the earthiness of patchouli and the dense, slightly leathery resin of labdanum, like a red petal held in shadow. The base turns rounder and sweeter with amber, vanilla and benzoin, smoothed by sandalwood, while pink pepper and a second appearance of incense keep the sweetness from settling too heavily. Made, in the brand's words, for people drawn to scents with meaning, complexity and authenticity, it suits days when depth matters more than lightness.
