Goudh
An oud fragrance in which tart citrus and blackcurrant appear alongside the oud from the start. It moves through a floral heart into warm leather and sandalwood.
Perfumer: Bram Niessink
Goudh puts oud, one of perfumery's most lavish materials, at the center and builds a frankly indulgent composition around it. Fugazzi frames the idea around suspended moments, when time seems to stop and pleasure feels untouchable. Unusually, the brand lists oud in the opening alongside grapefruit, mandarin and blackcurrant. The smoky, resinous wood arrives with a tart, slightly bitter citrus brightness and a dark berry edge instead of waiting at the base. The heart turns floral with lily of the valley, Bulgarian rose and sambac jasmine, while ambergris adds a rounded glow. The listed base settles into musk, leather, Indonesian patchouli, Java vetiver, Indian sandalwood and benzoin. Together they read as earthy, creamy and faintly sweet. Sold as an extrait de parfum at a stated 30% concentration, it suits an evening when you want oud to read as richness and pleasure rather than austerity.
