Jermyn Street
Vetiver threads through citrus, violet, juniper and coriander, supported by wood and musk.
Perfumer: Edward Bodenham
Jermyn Street honours the London street around the Floris shop and its tailoring traditions. Green trees, the crisp cotton associated with shirtmakers and gin-like aromatics connect with vetiver. Created by Edward Bodenham, the fragrance is placed in 2014 by the house’s own chronology.
Bergamot, mandarin, greener vetiver and violet make a brighter opening. Vetiver continues into coriander, armoise and juniper at the heart, gaining a more aromatic outline. Amber, cedar, musk and vetiver support the finish, joining drier root and wood with a gentler texture on skin.
Consider it for a spring outing or to bring greener wood into the impression of a sharper shirt. The Japanese house also suggests spring wear. The illustrated 100mL Eau de Parfum has rectangular clear glass, a gold cap, a green front label, pale yellow liquid and a thick transparent base.
