Oceani di Seta
A salty accord opens onto magnolia and heliotrope in a floral aquatic built on light and shadow.
Perfumer: Aliénor Massenet, Émilie Coppermann
Oceani di Seta means “oceans of silk” in Italian. It belongs to Storie di Seta, a collection inspired by Ferragamo’s silk archive and heritage, and this chapter imagines a paradise under the sea. Its organising idea is chiaroscuro, the play of light and shadow, worked out as a floral aquatic.
The opening salty accord is clear and crystalline, with the pull of strong waves behind it. At the heart, magnolia is joined by Filo di Seta, the “silk thread” accord shared by all four scents in the collection.
Heliotrope settles underneath, leaving a soft, powdery sweetness once the salt and the flower have faded back. The perfumes in the collection were designed to be worn on their own or layered.
