White Linen Oud Legacy

White Linen Oud Legacy takes the expansive world of White Linen Legacy and makes it denser with oud and rose. Reimagined by Frédéric Malle, it builds on the vetiver and amber that formed the foundation of Mrs. Lauder's original White Linen.
Aldehydes open with a bright sparkle before rose and jasmine take the center. The rose combines rose oil and rose absolute, and this natural floral richness lifts the deeper notes rather than being buried by them.
The base gathers an oud accord, amber notes built mainly on labdanum, vetiver, cypriol and olibanum. Resinous sweetness, the smoky hint of frankincense, and the dry woods of vetiver and cypriol surround the oud accord, giving the rose's fullness a deep shadow.
The brand's description also names violet leaf, which joins jasmine in widening the arrangement. It sits in the floral woody family, presented in a heavy glass cylinder with fluting and a rope detail. The carton is a fluted box in legacy blue, said to be the founder's favorite shade.
