Estée Lauder compares Pleasures to fresh flowers after a spring rain, an uplifting floral meant to celebrate life's simple pleasures. Pleasures Solid Perfume carries the scent of Pleasures Eau de Parfum as a balm in a limited-edition compact named Midnight Cravings.
The opening sets white lily beside violet leaves and green accents. The lily's clean white floral tone meets the watery greenness of violet leaf, keeping the start clear and fresh.
Many flowers gather in the heart: black lilac, white peony, karo-karounde blossoms, pink rose and jasmine layer softly, while baie rose, also known as pink pepper, adds a light spark that makes the bouquet glow. Sandalwood and patchouli in the base give this sheer floral a calm footing.
Against that clean image of rain-washed flowers, the compact's name and its line, "Give yourself the gift of time and sweetness," point toward a quieter, late-night indulgence. Designed by jewelry designer Monica Rich Kosann, the limited edition arrives in a velvety pouch.
