Beautiful
A rich floral of rose, lily, tuberose and orange flower, brightened with citrus and warmed by woods.
Perfumer: Sophia Grojsman, Bernard Chant, Max Gavarry
Beautiful is introduced as the fragrance of a thousand flowers, a phrase that conveys abundance rather than a count. The published notes centre on rose, lily, tuberose and orange flower, brightened with citrus and warmed by woods.
Its inspiration comes from Estée Lauder's vision, carried out by Evelyn Lauder: a fragrance that would make every woman feel she was the most beautiful woman in the room. To express its romantic character, the brand represents Beautiful with the image of a bride.
The top notes bring together rose, mandarin, lily, tuberose and marigold. Mandarin's light fruitiness lifts the dense sweetness of rose and tuberose, while marigold adds a slightly green, herbal edge. In the middle, orange flower, muguet, jasmine and ylang-ylang deepen the white-floral body.
The base is sandalwood, vetiver and amber. Vetiver's dry, rooty texture, soft sandalwood and the gentle warmth of amber hold the bouquet from below. The effect is generous and romantic rather than sheer.
