Silvanus
Oud, clove and saffron lead to woods and lily of the valley in a fresher woody fragrance inspired by the Roman god of forests and wilderness.
Perfumer: Marco Genovese
Silvanus imagines a walk in a deeper part of the forest, accompanied by clear air and birdsong. Created by Marco Genovese and introduced in 2020, it takes its subject from the Roman god associated with forests, wilderness and the protection of nature. A greener, cleaner character meets the depth of woods, suggesting a pause among trees rather than a heavier sweet woody fragrance.
Saffron, oud and clove give the opening a sharper, almost metallic brightness. Sandalwood, cedar, rosewood and lily of the valley then form the heart, combining a sappy woody impression with a slightly soapy floral texture. Ambergris and white musk provide the base, adding a softer outline around the greenery and aromatic woods.
Consider it for a daytime walk or when you want a woody fragrance with restrained sweetness. The 100mL bottle combines clear glass with a rose-gold-coloured cap and shoulders. A metal-toned circular medallion bears the eagle and fragrance name, above a thick transparent base supporting the tall outline.
