Bois Corsé by Diptyque is a 2024 eau de parfum from the original five releases in Les Essences de Diptyque. Its three official key notes are Arabica coffee, sandalwood, and tonka bean. Instead of reproducing a coffee drink, it translates the rough outside and protected soft center of bark into scent. The word corsé means full-bodied or strong and also echoes écorce, the French word for bark.
Scent Profile
The opening may suggest dark roast, unsweetened cocoa, and charred wood. As it settles, milky sandalwood and the almond, hay, and pale vanilla facets of tonka become more visible. The official presentation is a flat key-note structure rather than a top-heart-base pyramid.
