Oud Pagode

Inspired by a Kōdō incense ceremony, it moves from black tea, lotus and chrysanthemum toward oud, with rice powder and cashmere wood for texture.

ウード パゴード 100mL ボトル

Oud Pagode takes its cue from a Kōdō ceremony, the Japanese way of appreciating incense. Chapel Factory frames it as following the path of incense into the heart of that gathering, where wafts of black tea come before the oud.

Black tea and lotus open the scent, pairing the dry astringency of tea leaves with the soft, watery impression of a lotus flower. The heart brings chrysanthemum, rice powder and cashmere wood: a slightly bitter floral note, a powdery texture and a smooth, rounded wood.

Oud, musk and smoke form the base. The house calls this oud imperial; within the composition it is the dense wooden foundation beneath the layers of tea, flower and powder. Musk softens its outline, and smoke adds an afterglow like that of burnt incense.

It suits someone who wants to approach oud by way of tea and flowers rather than meeting it head-on.
