Le Dieu Bleu
Dominique Ropion evokes ancient Egypt through honeyed broom, myrrh, green lentisk and fruity opoponax.
Perfumer: Dominique Ropion
Le Dieu Bleu takes its inspiration from fragrances offered to the gods in ancient Egypt. Dominique Ropion uses the idea of aromatic plants, saps, roots and bark to evoke a world of temples and brightly colored frescoes.
Broom contributes a woody, honeyed floral character. Dense myrrh adds resinous depth, contrasted with the fresh green impression of lentisk. Opoponax introduces a fruity facet within the balsamic palette.
Floral sweetness, greenness and rich resin stand alongside one another. Those different materials give a concrete way to imagine the historical setting through smell. It is a fitting direction for someone who wants to explore myrrh and balsamic character together with flowers and green plants.
