Delhi
Flowers, resins and spice evoke old Delhi through champaca, myrrh, patchouli, vetiver and cardamom.
Delhi draws on the winding streets of the old city: the movement of people and vehicles, the many smells of the bazaars, and incense rising from sacred sites. Flowers, resins and earthy woods convey that busy, warm atmosphere.
Champaca brings a heady floral presence, set beside the warmth of myrrh. Patchouli and vetiver give the flowers a smoky, earthy woody setting.
Sweet rose petals, peppery cardamom and green fruity bergamot add further facets. Orange blossom and red cedar are also part of the composition. Flowers, spice and resin occupy the same close space, inviting a picture of the city through the way those materials meet.
